Welcome to the University of Western Sydney Law Students Association Website. The UWSLSA currently has more than 600 members, and aims to provide these members with opportunities to enhance their study through practical legal skills workshops, national mooting competitions, careers events, industry competitions, and social networking. On this site you will find information on all of these activities, as well as the key documents for the UWSLSA, information about our Executive and Committee members, and information specific to your year of study.

Interested in Immigration Law?
The PCJC is looking for event volunteers for Wednesday 14th September in Parramatta Town Hall. UWS Lecturer, Michaela Byers, is one of the speakers.

Or do you want to be a little more confident?
Then we will see YOU at the UWSLSA MOOT CLUB!
The Moot Club operates as a drop-in centre, meaning that attendance isn't compulsory every week and you may attend as you please. We will provide you with some basic materials to help write and prepare an argument - the rest is just practice. So come along and do your best!

Social Justice Opportunities - A Guide for Law Students
Dear Students,
The Australian Law Students Association, in conjunction with the National Pro Bono Resource Centre and other bodies have launched a guide for law students and new lawyers alike titled "Social Justice Opportunities". This guide and the new website, www.sjopps.net.au, were part of the Careers Fair at the 2011 ALSA July Conference in Sydney.
To promote the Social Justice Opportunities Guide, you are invited to the official launch on the 8th of August at the SMC Conference and Function Centre.
It will take place immediately prior to an address by Geoffrey Robertson Q.C. as part of the Law, Governance and Social Justice Opportunities Series.
